I have days when I wonder, “How am I going to get through this?” It feels like the things I need to do and the steps I have to take are too much for me. I wonder if I will be strong enough to keep moving forward. But in the times when I feel like I am not enough and that I am too weak, I can reach out to God. When I don’t have the power to take on the things that I need to do, I turn to the One who made me and who definitely has more power than I have. The One who loves me and who came to be with me. God knows that we need Him, and He wants us to come to Him for help. The Bible makes it clear that we don’t have to be ashamed of our weaknesses. Rather, God says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). On the days when you feel the weakest, God is there, ready to be strong for you. In the times when you don’t know if you are going to make it, God is still working. He wants to come beside you and give you strength. God strengthens us through the Holy Spirit. If you’ve put your trust in Jesus, you have the Holy Spirit in you, empowering you to do what God calls you to do. Sometimes God will call you to press on through difficulties, and other times He will call you to take a rEsther Whatever the case, He will be with you through it all. How amazing is it that we serve a God who not only sent His Son to save us but who is also willing to step into our lives and help us? How amazing is it that He will be strong for us when we cannot be strong on our own? • Emily Acker • Can you think of a time you felt weak and God helped you?
